Descripción
"Hansel and Gretel" is a German fairy tale collected by the Brothers Grimm and published in 1812 as part of Grimms' Fairy Tales.
The story is about two siblings, Hansel and Gretel, who are abandoned in the forest by their parents after their stepmother convinces their father to leave them in the woods because of famine. On their first attempt, they are able to find their way back home using a trail of pebbles. However, they fail the second time when they used a trail of breadcrumbs because they were all eaten by animals. Hansel and Gretel encounter a gingerbread house made of candies and sweets.
