Antonio Montes Orozco was born in Madrid, Spain, in 1972. He studied Telecommunications Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Madrid.
He began his first steps in the world of work as a systems administrator, specializing in the Solaris, HPUX and AIX operating systems. After a few years as a systems administrator, he started programming in C++ and, in 2006, he learned about the Scrum methodology. He was one of the pioneers in its application in Spain. Since then he has been working as a Scrum Master and as a coach to implement this methodology.
He ended up working in a major Spanish financial institution, where he introduced Scrum in one of the Business areas.
He was certified in 2015 by the prestigious PMI (Project Management Institute), as a practitioner of Agile (ACP: Agile Certified Practitioner), and by Scrum Manager in 2014.
In 2016 he obtained the Executive Master in Management of Information Technologies by the Institute of Business Executives (IDE-CESEM) of Spain.
In 2020 he obtained the Master Coaching & Mentoring Fundamentals for Agile by the European School of Coaching (EEC) of Spain, being certified as a coach by the prestigious ICF (International Couching Foundation).
